i went for the Jazz Festival during the weekend up in the cold cold city of entertainment :O) Thanx to one of my colleague who got them for free and nobardee actually wanted to go for it. so ta-da~ here I COME!!! it was well worth it. i really enjoyed it. its actually a 2 nite thingy but i cudn't make it on Friday nite, so Saturday it is then.
Programme - 05 April 2008 (Saturday)
7.15pm - 8.15pm Key Elements (Singapore)
8.30pm - 9.30pm Tangora (Caribbean / France)
9.45pm -10.45pm Neanders Jazzband (Denmark)
11.00pm - 12.00 midnight Schalk Joubert and the Three Continents Sextet (Norway, Sweden, Spain, Africa, Australia)
12.15noon - 1.15am Tighten Up! Jazz Jamaica with special guest Myrna Hague (UK / Jamaica)
that was the line up on Sat and i totally fell in love with Key Elements and Neanders Jazzband!!! they were fantastic. i love them. well, im not neglecting the others, its just that, i love these 2 the most, plus, i din stay on for the Jamaica band.
Key Elements re-create a cappella music. Each singer had their own distinctive style of singing. the vocal chords ranged from the very hi-end note of soprano to alto, tenor, baritone and ends with really low bass *gosh* they were truly amazing. i was totally flabbergasted. it was very entertaining!! a very good start as well.
Neanders Jazzband is from Denmark and consists of 6 ppl. they sang and played traditional jazz inspired by Louis Armstrong. other than that, they also did a repertoire which varied from swing to jazzrock and a little folk-music. to wat i recall, there was clarinet, saxaphone, trombone, cello, drums and guitar.
well, thats all i can say about my experience about Jazz last weekend. bottomline, i enjoyed it :o)
and looOOokie here, on the left~ i bought tis over the weekend with my mum n aunt. we had nowhere to go, but they really wanted to head out, so Amcorp Mall it is. i saw n i fell in love with it right away.
i couldnt resist myself from buying it. I HAD TO HAVE IT!!! *haha* its just adorable. its a 'JumBo Puffer' . . . wateva that means.
it light up when i throw to the ground but it doesnt bounce back tho. its so damn cuuuuTeeeee and it has rubber fur sticking out!!! well, im a sucker 4 cute stuff altho im like......25 this year? la la la~
well, at least it kept me occupied for abit. i still play with it when i got home today :OP
and this lovely thing up there is a box of Chocolates from my boss. note that it carries my Surname?? *hehe* hence, i had to capture this very memorial box of chocolates made for my family! wahhhh~ draMa ma-ma!! *LOL*
he just came back last week from . . . i-dunno-where cos i din ask and i didnt get a chance to talk. cos when he came back, there was like a mountain of blardeee problems for him to settle. one of the shits of many shits was my shit??!?! :o]
nways, he passed it over to skinner and said 'Enjoy the chocolates' and skinner was like . . . 'waaaaaaaah. chocolate!! everyone take. leftover is ALL mine!! *hahahaha*'
that is the wrap up of my weekend. i wanna write more but im abit the sleepy and i shall hit the sack for now.
